Baby Gill really is our little miracle girl! We had been trying to start our family for two years before we got pregnant. At the one year mark, the doctor performed some tests, but could find no definitive reason as to why we could not conceive. We tried some of the common medications for abut six months, but with no success. The doctor said she had done all she could and referred us to a specialist. After several days of searching, we discovered that there was no infertility clinic in our part of the state that would take our insurance. Discouraged, we decided to take a break and wait a while. During open enrollment in October, we changed our medical insurance carrier and waited patiently for January 1, 2009 to roll around so we could get an appointment.
On January 9, 2009, we met with a specialist for the initial consultation. He looked at our records and asked us lots of questions and said he had seen this all before. He had a suspision, but would not say much more until we had further testing done. We were to call back as soon as my next cycle started so we could get the tests scheduled ASAP. We waited. Then we waited. Then we waited some more.
You have probably guessed what had happened. The next cycle never started because we were pregnant! We had been so impatient and it was all about God's timing, not ours. We know that all children are gifts from God, but this little one is the perfect example of God's love for us!
